Drive to help family a success

HOPE Academy Broadway principal Holly Williams said a drive to help a family with four students who lost their home in a fire has been successful.

"It's been really great," she said. "We've had kitchen items donated from the school, bedroom sets donated from the mother's workplace and a television, stereo and $250 in gift certificates donated from our corporate office."

HOPE Academy Brown Street to finish basketball season this weekend

HOPE Academy fourth grade boys team will play 9:50 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Grade School, while the girls team will play 2:40 p.m. Sunday at St. Sebastian Grade School.

Funds still needed for MDA

She's not locked up anymore, but HOPE Academy Lincoln Park EMIS Coordinator Eileen Hines is still looking for help in raising funds to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Hines was locked up Wednesday in an effort to raise $2,000 for the group. As of yesterday afternoon, Eileen has raised $210.

Preparing for the OATs

HOPE Academy Lincoln Park is preparing students for the Ohio Achievement Tests which will held in April.

"We're holding Saturday trainings as well as tutoring sessions," said EMIS Coordinator Eileen Hines, who's responsible for tracking student attendence for the testing.

HOPE Academy Lincoln Park EMIS Coordinator Eileen Hines has been locked today up to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Bail has been set at $2,000. So far, Eileen has raised $155.

Locked up for a good cause

EMS/Enrollment Specialist Eileen Hines of Hope Academy Lincoln Park will be put behind bars 9 a.m. Jan. 23 in order to raise money for MDA.

Hines says her goal is to raise $2,000.
